Cai Zixing

Cai Zixing graduated in industrial electrical automation from the Department of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering at Xi'an Jiaotong University in July 1962, and has worked in automatic control and computer science for fifty years.
He has served as a United Nations expert, and is an academician of the International Academy of Navigation and Motion Control and of the New York Academy of Sciences, and was among the first cohort of national teaching masters recognised across Chinese universities.
He received the Xu Teli Education Award in 2009, the Wu Wenjun Artificial Intelligence Science and Technology Achievement Award in 2014, and was elected an IEEE Fellow in 2016. A specialist in intelligent systems, artificial intelligence, intelligent control and intelligent robotics, he is widely described as the founder of intelligent control as a discipline in China and as the country's first educator in artificial intelligence.
