Xiao Jun

Xiao Jun is a professor and Deputy Dean of the School of Artificial Intelligence at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. His work spans image processing, computer vision, engineering computation and simulation, and intelligent finance.
He has led more than 20 research projects, including topics under the National Key R&D Programme and grants from the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and has published over 90 papers and one monograph.
He is a standing director of the China AI Education Joint Conference, and sits on the Pattern Recognition and Machine Intelligence committee of the Chinese Association of Automation and the youth committee of the China Society of Image and Graphics. His awards include the President's Award of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Ministry of Education–IBM university collaboration outstanding teacher award, an award from the steel-structure association, and a second prize for scientific and technological progress in Beijing. He was selected as an outstanding member of the CAS Youth Innovation Promotion Association and as a Beijing Science and Technology Rising Star.
