Li Ruifeng

Li Ruifeng is a professor, doctoral supervisor and Deputy Director of the Robotics Institute at Harbin Institute of Technology, where he took his doctorate in engineering in 1996.

He has led projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, robotics projects under the National 863 Programme, and industrial-robot commercialisation work within the national major project on numerical control. He currently leads a project under the National Key R&D Programme's intelligent robotics initiative.

His awards include a second prize for scientific and technological progress in Shandong Province for the 863 robotics commercialisation base, a first prize from the automotive industry association for industrial-robot commercialisation, and two second prizes for scientific and technological progress in Heilongjiang Province for intelligent service robots and for key industrial-robot technologies. He has published more than 90 papers, one monograph, and holds over 20 invention patents.

He serves as Secretary-General of the Intelligent Robotics Committee of the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence, President of the Heilongjiang Robotics Society, and on committees of the China Household Electrical Appliances Standardisation body, the Chinese Association of Automation, the China Association for Standardisation and the Chinese Society of Astronautics.
