Leung Hung-ming

Liang Kongming is an associate professor at Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications. He works on computer vision, deep learning and medical image analysis — designing AI models that identify an object's attributes such as colour, shape and parts, and the relationships between objects such as relative position and interaction, then applying that to computer-aided diagnosis, automatic image captioning and product retrieval.

He took his doctorate at the Institute of Computing Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2018, and held a postdoctoral position at Peking University from 2019 to 2021.

He has published as first or corresponding author at the leading venues in artificial intelligence, computer vision and medical imaging — ICCV, AAAI, IJCAI and MICCAI — and in the machine-learning journal TPAMI. He has filed twelve patents, two of them granted, leads a National Natural Science Foundation young scientists' grant, and contributes to several further national and Beijing-level projects.
